I am an Ewe, I do songs in Ewe but not a Volta Artiste – Dzidu declares

Spread the love

Just like millions of stars in the galaxy, so are artistes on earth. Each with a similar or a peculiar style and dream. Like a raging fire ball comes young talented Dzidu.
Dzidu is an Accra based artiste from Aflao who described his kind of music as Afrodition, a fusion of Afrobeat and traditional music. “I am combining or incorporating the indigenous sounds, our instruments into one piece
Dzidu who is feverishly preparing for his first ever concert in Aflao told Bright Ellis host of ENT105 on Global 105.1 FM Saturday 30th March that he is an independent artiste who is opened for managerial talks with goal oriented persons.

Dzidu even as a Voltarian (Ewe) wouldn’t want to be described or tagged as a Volta artiste for fear of confinement.
So Dzidu is not a Volta artiste, I am a Ghanaian artiste. I am an Ewe boy but not a Volta Artiste. You can’t put me in that bracket, the fact that I’m singing in Ewe doesn’t limit me. I don’t like it. You can’t say Sarkodie is Akan or Ashanti artiste
He further said most of his songs are in the Ewe language but wouldn’t be a Volta artiste and for the Volta Music Awards, he thought he wasn’t prepared yet to file for any category.

Dzidu has been paying keen attention to other Artistes like Agbeshie, KD Bakes, Camidoh, Seyram, Keeny Ice, JJ Gonami based on how their songs are doing well on the scene.
Dzidu is yet to drop another new song in some few days but shot a video for his previous song Dinava. He’s also inviting the general public to join him in Aflao 21st April 2019 lowcost beach for his concert which he would want to stage again in the regional capital Ho sometime soon.
