My contract with WorldMap was verbal – Lega

Award winning artiste Lega made a stop over at Global 105.1 FM on Saturday November 5, 2019. He joined Bright Ellis and Jerome Bigx on ENT105 and revealed that joining World Map Records was not exactly as a lot of people perceived it.

According to him, he was never signed to World Map Records and that, it was only a project they did and that was it.

I have always been with Sizzla One entertainment, I was not signed by WorldMap Records. What I had with World Map was a verbal contract for just one song

Explaining the verbal contract, Lega said the CEO of World Map Records listened to “Dem Go Hear Am”, a collaboration he had with DJ Blackboi and Kasare and decided to help promote the song.

I saw it as a great opportunity to push the song onto the next level because the song was doing well down here in the Volta region. I informed DJ Blackboi and he was OK. Ownership of the song was changed and a video shot. That was my contract with World Map

Lega is currently on a media tour for his new single “Konect” and has said preparations are far advanced for shooting a video. He also said he’s been on a low for a couple of months due to his national service but has bounced back to be very active.
